What Mojo said. Although I've learned to be careful of my thoughts - I'm always paranoid about something bad happening, so whenever I think of it I ignore it - except once I was pretty freaked out, but it was late and I didn't want to get up and check the oven to see if it was on (I was sure it wasn't).

...Yeah, next morning, kitchen feels warm, the oven was on.

So I guess I'd call that a miracle - the oven was on all night and my home didn't burn down. ^_~

Nah don't get me wrong. I am not the whole believe of angels and what not descending from above and saving you, but I consider myself lucky I am alive. Also yeah I have a lot of dejavu's as well.

Also what I find funny is that when I found the 20$ I had eaten chinese food earlier and the fortune read "You will receive some high prize or award soon", I thought that was pretty cool lol. For some reason when I get fortune cookies I can either make a connection to the fortune or it comes true lol

I remember a weird phenomenon that happened to me when I was small around 5-7 I think. I was at my cousin's house with my family and then we went swimming there. Their whole pool was like 12 ft deep, no kiddie end. And at that time I couldnt swim, I just wet my feet by dangling my legs over. Heres where it gets weird. I somehow get into the pool, I dun remember if I feel or jumped but I got in and sunk to the bottom. I thought I was going to drown or something but I didnt. Instead I didn't feel like I couldn't breathe, I didn't feel like I was drowning. Instead I just walked to the ladder which goes all the way to the bottom and climbed out. ANd when I reached air, THEN I was gasping for air like crazy. Weird thing was everyone else in the pool didnt notice I fell in or just didnt... care >_>.

The craziness of the story still makes me skeptical to this day though. Since I cant remember which cousins they were, and I dun remember ever being in that house again. But I remember so much of that day though. When I first came, playing with toys before the pool, and other things.

Plus the story cant be true since normally you wouldnt sink to the bottom unless all air was out of your body. But eh... reading this thread reminded me of that time ;o

@loca: about fortune cookies and stuff like that, the whole idea is to make the fortune as vague as possible so you can almost always find a connection sooner or later.

@adone: if you had no air in your lungs(like if you screamed or just ex-haled)it is possible for you to sink to the bottem of the pool.

@mojo: i read that book, it talks about someones inability to make sense of "chance" and how numbers can explain everything. then he goes on to explain zeros and making large numbers easier for those who are math ill literate.

I dont belive in luck...if i did most of mine would be labled BAD luck.

But having mojo mention innumeracy brought somethings to light. Im not saying everything can be expalined by breaking it down to the most basic information. but chance and numbers play a big part of the "why" aspect in life.

Don't forget that when you sometimes think of somthing reasonably random but then it happens just a few seconds later can be explained that you actually took in the information subconsciously. A bit difficult to explain like that...but I'll use the example in the OP.

You said you saw wheel rims and you thought they'd look good on a car, the same car that came driving in just a moment later. It could be you had seen that car passing by outside the window a bit before the car drove in and, subconsciously, this made you think of that car.
