And good riddance.
Yay, one less opponent in the fight for intelligence.

Thank God.
I, personally, thought he had a good heart, but said the wrong thing whenever he opened his mouth, without meaning to. I myself have the same proble. I will miss that old guy...*sniff*
P.S. - This, for those that don't realize it, is a gracious way to say, "Stop mocking a dead guy. You can make fun of him all you want when he is alive, but after he just died....stop."
Good riddance.
Sorry Jakko, but this dude was a douche.

Sorry Jakko, but the guy was a bigot and a douche. Pure and simple.
Falwell's greatest claim to fame might be that he openly brought religion into politics in a way which was not that different from how special interest groups regularly operate in promoting their views, lobbying for government policy which is favorable to them and detrimental to others, and supporting political candidates who will in turn support them if elected to government. Jerry Falwell's open support for Ronald Reagan as President didn't sit very well though with those who favor an absolute separation of church and state.
Shrug, if nobody had been interested in buying what Falwell was selling at the time, he would have been dismissed as irrelevant and all but forgotten by this point. That wasn't the case though, and you can see undertones of Ronald Reagan's attempt to appeal to the Moral Majority in Bush Jr's Presidential election campaigns.
