Yes, i agree with u. Why would the machines waste their energy to wipe human while they still can used human >.<

Kyubi : I know that we can program AI to learn but self learning AI algorithm is very complex. And i don't know if we can ever program something like that in the near future... At if we already can program something like that wouldn't we should already reach a point in tech where we will be able to do something against the AI. But that only my rant anyways. .

Dollar : I care, cause i don't wish to be reincarnated in the future where i have to held arms in my daily life against machine :P.

Use the grammar/sentence structure ._.
Siggy quote theif :<

But yeah, most actions that a machine intelligence would take for its own benefit would be very harmful to organic life.

Be it harnesing the output of the sun, or gathering raw materials for construction. [Disassembling the inner planets, they only acount for (I think this is acurate) ~3% of the mass of the Solar system – excluding the sun and Kuiper Belt, but hold nearly 40% of the metals. Ignoring the far greater abudance of 'rare' metals like Irridium and Platinum in asteroids]

Sorry, did i offended u in some way or another cause i don't really understand. Sorry for all my english ability is poor only about 20-30 percent so maybe i misstook ur post or something.

Oh yeah, i am curious if we put a self learning AI to a robot. By our tech standard now, could the self learning AI learn to reproduce it self ? I mean yes the machine needs energy, but why would it need such massive amount of energy ? To cultivate earth ? To reproduce ? If it is to reproduce, why are they reproduce their self ?

You guys are thinking too small. When heat death comes around, there won't be a single living organism or complex structure anywhere in the universe. We just have to wait an almost infinite amount of years.

Pssha.

You fool.

Of course there will still be structures – All the mass that could be captured will be converted to lossless computational structures – Everything that has been computed, can be computed, without loss of energy. Thus you could have an artificial life, and keep repeating it endlessly. No new thoughts or actions, but hey, at least your still trucking... forever.

In fact, it's thought that our universe is basically balanced on the exact top of entropy, think of it as someone who has been trapped inside a tower on the top of a spherical ball, there is no way to get down to the 'ground' the ball is resting on without killing yourself. Our universe's physics [from what we currently know] are supposedly the sweet spot on the top of the ball, every other spot would result in a sterile universe, one that undergoes continous bigbangs as it expands and contracts within seconds, one that simply gets hotter and hotter as energy is made from nothing, untill it eventually reaches the saturation point of the big bang, where all forces have fused together unto the one and absolute constant, and so on.

Oh, and liek, you've not done anything to offend me, your ideas are quite good, and that's the main thing I care about, but your American English still sucks.
Also, your quote is basically the same as what I used to have. Just saying, tis all.

speaking of AI. I will begin schooling to start making machines and programs like this next year. Soooo, give me 10 years and I take over the world? :P (Or get over run by my own projects.. whichever comes first).

Unless you can create a Von Neumann machine loaded with metalurgical skillz and 1337 manipulators, good look with that.
