    Default NHL Playoff Hockey 2007

And so once again that time is upon us... the final push in the quest of the cup of Lord Stanley of Preston. The Stanley Cup. The Cup. The Holy Grail. Lord Stanley's Mug. Take your pick. XD

1st day is over. Here is the standings if you missed it.

    Pittsburgh-Ottawa: 3-6
    San Jose-Nashville: 5-4 (2nd Overtime)
    Minnesota-Anaheim: 1-2
Dallas-Vancouver: 4-5 (2th Overtime and going into 3rd OT... @_@|| Ended in 4th Overtime... 2 games worth of hockey were played!!! T-T)

Interesting notes are that Pittsburgh lost tonight in Crosby's playoff debut (this kid is being called the next Gretzky if you haven't heard... even Gretzky looks at him and just says 'damn...'). Ottawa's methods and strategy actually were in a major part based just to shut this guy down.
San Jose and Nashville was a good game. There was a kneeing major by Hartnell and he got a game misconduct. SJ also pulled Nabokov in the second... not sure why. I didn't get to see this game.
Missed Minnesota and Anaheim too. All I know is the last goal was iffy. The argument is that it was under the goalie and it was forced out.
I'm still watching Dallas and Vancouver... this is a hell of a game. Back and forth, back and forth... very fast.

I'm waiting for Detroit tomorrow though before I lose it and weave a quilt of obscenities that will hang over the state of Michigan. Flames are going down (who wants to guess my team?). XD

    So who's everyone taking? :P

(I'll update when this game ends... if ever. @_@)

    EDIT:
It's 3:30AM... Sudine just finally scored. XD
Vancouver wins. I can finally sleep.
    4th Overtime... 4TH

For the Pittsburgh series, as long as Crosby's down, there's nothing they can do. I mean, Fleury ain't really that hot so...

I have to agree. From the highlights and play-by-play I was watching (yes... I was watching the text play-by-play that auto-updates on NHL.com... not the way to go ><) he was doing quite well despite being watched. Whitney gets around too but... not so much tonight it seems. About Fleury though, one thing I noticed is he was out just about every time Ottawa scored... but I guess you could argue he gets played a lot.

I wish I would have saw that game. That's quite something for number 4 and 5 in the east.

It's only game 1. He might've gotten 2 goals in that game.

    Day 2:

    NYR-Atl: 4-3
    Cgy-Det: 1-4
    N.J-T.B: 5-3
    NYI-Buf: 4-1

They all ended in regulation tonight.
    And DETROIT WHAT BABY! W0000000T!

Buffalo is living up to their reps as well as the regular season's point leader, I see.

To be fair, the enwyies kinda coughed up the game. No fault of their goalie.

I'm rooting for the Islanders, though I doubt that they're gonna win the series against the sabres. These guys scrapped their way up to get the eighth seed and have beaten tough teams along the way. They deserve some respect.
