I assumed they swerved because they were driving too fast, similarly a driver should always allow adequate stopping distance when approaching a stop sign (otherwise you end up swerving off the road and into a ditch =P). I think they are more likely to get done for reckless driving, and if they did threaten you, road rage as well. You still shouldn't have run though.
There was no damage to my car. Just to their bumper.
They were so much bigger than me, I didn't want to get my ass kicked if it could be avoided.
hold on what are they accusing you of? a hit and run? Basic forensics could disprove that if your car isnt damaged.
I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

Mm...that sucks. You'll be fine, though, considering they have no case.
=\ i dont think its a hit and run. If it was then yeah obviously their scammed attempt would fail, but in the case, more than anything the story is what matters. Who was where at what time, who didnt pay attention, etc. If he was behind you, then yeah it should be obvious that it's his fault. Almost everywhere in the US, its generally accepted that if ur hit from behind that it's the person who rear-ended you, it's their fault. But they didnt hit you, and ended up swirling into the ditch, so in that sense it's still their fault for the most part for these few reasons.

but still THE BIGGEST thing was "fleeing from the scene of the accident." =\ Also if you did call the cops then it would of helped u too, because then its on file with the police and they can tell the story from their point of view.
BTW, when you do win (and I'm sure you will), try and get them to reimburse you the court fees and legal costs. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I think if someone unsuccessfully trys to sue you, you can get them to pay your bills.
BTW, you really should get some real legal advice, asking for legal advice from some random unknown people on the internet is not the smartest thing to do.
98 is right. It doesn't cost a lot to talk to a lawyer. If you've been served a lawsuit, then they are probably banking on a kid who has no idea what to do, goes unprepared, and loses the case for a good chunk of change. And while you have no money, I do believe that since you are under 18, your parents need to cover the difference (I'm not sure about that though).
I'd say you have an amazing chance so long as you present yourself right... go find a lawyer. Some give free meetings in hopes you'll hire them. Others will charge you for advice, but you don't HAVE to hire them, just take what they say and do it. Read the ads, call around, see what's available in your area.
Also a lawyer could prepare a counter suit much better than you could. Like I said, finding a free consultation might work out well. If he can get a counter suit prepared, he could get the otherside to foot his bill. You might not get anything for missing work, but at least you won't pay anything out.
thanks to Silverwmoon!
The best thing you can do is get a Lawyer. Then you can file a countersuit. Also, a lawyer can find out if those guys have anything that can be used against them. Like if any are Ex cons, Tickets for wreckless driving(DWI), etc. The more dirt YOU get on these guys the better.
On a side note, I know how you feel. Someone falsey accused me of sexual harrasment. I plan on taking to a lawyer myself.
"Taking" to a lawyer? Sexual harrasment? You amorous bugger. lol
The thing is the chick was a pimple face fug. If she was hot, then maybe. You folks in the UK don't have dumb laws like that, do you?
