    Happy birthday 98.

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

I was suddenly feeling nostalgic today and wanted to revisit this place. For some reason my firewall had been blocking this site for months. Despite all the stuff that has happened I'm glad this place is still around right now. Wish it were lively like the old days but that's what everyone always says. I also tried to visit old scanlator's sites but a few were closed/under new management, and I was sad to see #lurk is dead. =( Things sure have changed around here.

Btw I met CPR(coolpuprocks) if anyone still remembers her. She was on the west coast so we hung out for a brief few hours, it was fun. Met Mojo too for a brief second. Hung out with Csuti a few years back.

Sad to hear the site is closing down soon but it is what it is. I know there's been lots of drama and what not but I still cherish the good times around here and people I talked to on this site, the discussions, the games, and just general stuff around here. I just wanted to leave this message and I hope you guys are all doing well for those who I had talk to, knew, didn't know, and any new members. I really love this place and you guys.

It seems like you have been away for a long time since Lurk died I think a few years after we opened (Opened in 2004), originally I got all our Manga from them too. A huge number of various manga sites, especially the scanlators have died off, but I guess that is how everything is, people lose interest and move on to other things.

It's great you were able to meet people from ST in real life, I never met anyone myself but at least you have some good times to remember from this site.

Thank you for coming back and visiting!

It's been a good run, ST. I first joined the summer before my senior year in HS because pretty much the only places to download manga were DDL forum sites (irc wasn't that widespread and mangafox was but a twinkle in some entrepreneur's eye). What made me stay and actually actively post here was definitely the membership. Subforums like Misc. Series, Gantz, and Suzuka (lol) were always full of lively discussion. I was a LOT more introverted back then, and I like to think that this forum afforded me a way to talk to other like-minded individuals behind the safety of a (mostly) anonymous message board. I didn't really get into Chit Chat (and thus actually got to know some of the members on a more personal basis) until I was in university, but I'd wager most of my posts would have gone into threads like this one, or the CYM threads (versions 1 and 2).

I wrote a reeeeeeeally long "Where are you now?" sort of post three years ago, which can be found here. In the past three years I've graduated from university with a BA in History, and have...done not much else with my life. Does captaining a winning co-ed ball hockey team count? Anyway, shoutouts to my homies, past and present: mojo, CPR, jyuu, csuti, deuce, stealdragon, 98, coolerimmortal, dante, MSG, ishman, Digital_Eon, gibwy, aurora, and stubbs. Sorry to whomever I missed, the years have been long and my mind grows clouded.

Last but not least, many thanks to Kevin Shiel/Kane for taking care of StopTazmo for so many years. I know it's been a thankless job at times (not to mention taking money out of your own pockets to feed the site), but if it wasn't for your hard work and dedication, ST would not exist. So thank you for all of the memories, both the good and the bad.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

was feeling nostalgic and decided to visit. wow so many things changed since I joined. when i joined I was in high school, in romania. moved to the US, college in RI, finished college, now i'm in LA, working for a CGI studio, although I am considering quitting and going freelance pretty soon. I never would have imagined.. I mean, when I joined ST I didn't have any plans to leave the country.
I wish I had met more ST people, the only person I met irl was darkus, but we're still friends.

haha. does anyone remember 4n0nm0$. there were some crazy times here and I wish I was more active in chitchat. for whatever reason it was kind of intimidating back then.
I vaguely remember kaom and madi chan. was there a guy named irecinius or smth..? then there was the spider army group, i remember i laughed really hard at those drawings. i remember jyuu was kind of an annoying bitch although quite amusing. I recall Urameshi was still deciding what universities to apply to. AtrumIncendia was a bit of an idiot, ziazca was really damn funny, bipolargraph was in med school i wonder what he is doing now (and there was something about a rock? who can say), morten was kind of a brat, then there were Raszagal, Vincent, el_bisko, Spurggu, as well as Kiam and Compjotr who were friends irl and joined the site together. and ofc, there are people I remember who are still active.

messing with the gantz group was a lot of fun. I am sure I annoyed them quite a bit.

i'd hate to see this site down, but I guess it's been a pretty long time. Thanks KANE! some years ago I was staying up so late all the time to check this site.
and mafia games were always a joy for me, i was addicted. i kept refreshing the page every ten seconds. i wish there was a way for me to download the archive for one or two games actually.
