personally it depends on what the hell im waiting for, A chance for a relationship with someone... rejection i guess (depends on the person and the circumstances). A chance for a organ donation, wait.

I learned. Flat out rejection is much better. Because if you're put on a wait list, you always think that there is hope. But there usually isn't. And the more time passes, the more it hurts to not know the answer. It tears you apart.
So it's much better to know the answer right away, and not a second later.

I disagree, wait- listing isn't fun.. but in the end, it's better to have that chance. But then I gues sit depends on what you're talking about... classes? uni? school? job? etc? wait listing is much better... And you can just get on with your life in the meantime...

it might be true if it's about school and related subjects.
but, waiting for a reply that you know is already coming: I don't like you anymore. give up on me and move on.
Days, weeks of waiting, and hoping that you're just wrong and your friends are just wrong about him, and he's just busy and can't spare enough time for you.
It's much better to just be told "it's over," once and end it fast, then to let the person hang on a loose rope, chocking them every moment of the day. giving off slight hints that they might actually change their minds. they might actually turn and come running back. but then just laugh in your face and jab a dagger into your heart.

no, I'd rather just it be told me once, and not having to suffer for a long period of time.

i asked at the first page... apparently it's neither relationships nor entrance exams aka anything scholastic.

but yah, it depends on the scenario. if it's a relationship, flat-out rejection for sure. if s/he's messing around, means s/he's not really interested and it's a waste of emotional energy to wait. but for university/job offers/etc, there's nothing to lose if you're put on a waiting list.

another thing, if you're waiting for a reply in a relationship, you can't really go and ask elsewhere, or else you'll be screwed (or unless you're really smooth). but for uni/job offers/etc, you could be put on a waiting list and still continue applying.

If I was wait listed in a relationship then i would treat it as a rejection, and although the possibility is there I would seriously look elsewhere, Ive personally done both (waited and not done anything else, and waited and looked elsewhere) and by far looking elsewhere was the least stressful.

i think you guys are missing the REAL IMPORTANT matter at hand....it's figuring out what CPR is talking about.

it's not college entrance related, it's not relationship related....maybe it's medical related?!! DID YOU TEST IF U WERE POSITIVE FOR STD'S?!!!!!!!
