Thread: Youtube Is Getting Sued!

Viacom, the owner of Paramount Pictures, Viacom Products, Wilshire Products and CBS productions, Nickelodeon, MTV, Spike, and CMT channelsm, AS WELL AS THE distributer to CBS and UPN networkers, is Suing YOUTUBE!

This is seriously revolutionary cause if Viacom wins, there will probably be many other smaller companies that will find the desire to sue youtube.

Such sweet revenge. I hope viacom wins.
(yes, I'm still bitter about my abridged series!)

This feels like the new Napster. Ya know... something you can't recover from.

Youtube does seem to be losing a lot of stuff recently, lots of Chappelle's show clips that I watched before are being taken off.

Everytime something becomes a success. People need a reason to sue it.

I call them HATERS!

Youtube got waaay too exploited. Now every little thing that has ever appeared on television will be dead. Even clips are biting the dust now. Nothing you do will never make people like this happy. By people I mean HATERS!

Viacom needs to get laid. Seriously.

I already know about those links. I bookmarked every single one. XD. Though, I still reserve the right to be bitter over youtube. =P

what's your problem about youtube cpr ???

i mean, how can you support Viacom and others which are suing it while they are the primary reason why youtube has removed the series you liked from its site to begin with.... it's complete nonsense xP

and keep in mind that if Viacom wins, every big video websites will be sued in a near future and be closed too... (it's weird it has not already happen though )

and stop image hosting websites too by the way...

yeah, i read about this last night. I hope viacom loses though. I hope it's not going to be another case of the RIAA or so. Like whoever said earlier, just because it became popular ppl have to hate and try to do everything in their power to oppose them. It's so dumb!

Viacom isn't the reason why LK's stuff is gone. Viacom doesn't own Yugioh (tokyopop has yugioh stuff) and has no desire to shut down its stuff. Technically, most anime/manga companies don't seem to care about copyright stuff. The only site I've seen to get screwed by this would be boxtorrents.

I think Viacom is mostly pist about the music videos and stuff. That hurts MTV A LOTTTTTTTTTTtttttttttttt!

If Viacom wins, YT will probably get super strict, and many users might start leaving YT to a different site. Like, when Napster crashed other things such as Kazaa and Morpheus started appearing. When those things started getting crappy, things such as Limewire or eMule took over. The cycle will just continue.

AKA, there will always be some form of "youtube" on the internet. That's why we got dailymotion, livevideo, ect.
