The Dark Tower

Recently Stephen King's Dark Tower series has been made into comic! I sorta just wanna know what people know about it and im curious who is a fan of the books.

try it, read the books even. Its my favorite book series (not recomended for minors though)

my co-worker was looking for that comic a week back or so. He wanted to get the first edition of the comic, but wherever he went he couldnt find one, and he didnt want to pay like $100 on ebay to get one. Personally though, i dont know anything about it.

The Dark Tower is my favorite book series ever. I'm completely obsessed.

The first issue of the comic was damn good.

I haven't read any of the comic yet but like cooler said the books are definetly one of the best series out there.

Not to get off topic but I read in Entertainment Weekly the a week or so ago that J J Abrahms is trying to get the rights to make a movie. Do you think that would be a good idea?

Yeah that would be a better idea, but it would more than likely be pretty expensive. If it lasted longer than 1 or 2 seasons it would probably be cancelled before it could finish.

I still haven't read the seventh book...I read the first six within a week last school year, and I must...Have...More...

dude you NEED to finish the series. The last book has some controversy about the ending but its still pretty cool.

About the movie, if they did it right i think it could work (like say 1 book = 1 movie) but it probly would kill the spirit pretty quickly. But King said he would NEVER give up creative rights on any movie after he was pretty much put out of the picture in the original Shining.

Aaah, I only recently found the first book, and I haven't had a chance to find the others yet :'(
