I was merely suggesting ACDSee to SD. It's been my image viewer for more than four years now and it's really good. Loads up in less than a second as well.

ACDSEE is the best. I use it too read the manga scanlation and it works better to me then using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer cause i familiarized myself with the shortcut buttons used in ACDSee

Personally I'd stick 'em all in a PDF and use acrobat.

Wow ... this was my first time posting a thread I didn't think anyone would respond to it. Thanks!

Well, I think my initial intention of the thread has been lost. Let me see if I can steer it back on track.

The question is really asking about the hardware (not software) being used to read scanlated manga.

From my own experience, unless you have a large high resolution monitor, it's difficult to fit an entire page on the screen. The fact that most monitors are landscape and manga in a portrait style doesn't help either.

Iv'e tried rotating all pages 90 degrees and then using my laptop to view them as if I'm opening up a book. Gets pretty heavy.

It just seems unfortunate that we have so much content to read, yet don't have a good way of enjoying it. Iv'e been looking into alternatives such as ebook readers and was highly anticipating the Sony Reader that came out last year. Cost way too much.

Anyone else considered some sort of ebook reader? Anyone currently using such a device? Would you consider getting one? What's everyone's take on this?

you say all of this but you dont say your resolution. Im using a 1400x1050 14inch on my Dell, Manga is easy as hell to read at that resolution since i usually only keep MQ releases. Its not perfect since some series like Airgear have tiny ass print and i do sometimes squint.... which is why i asked for said program before

btw does anyone have a video of ACDsee in action?

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends
