And well, and well...
I have been able to temporarily hijack a computer, so I'll be able to chat on ST for the forseeable future. Ya know, in case anyone had been wanting to converse with me...
*cough* So, recently I've been sitting in on meetings with Baltek's R&D director, Dr. Kurt Feichtinger, and the LA DOTD. So, they're currently doing some experimental construction.
a) They infused a concrete support pillar that was hit by a vehicle that had burst into flames and severely damaged the pillar. I'll be able to get digital pictures soon and provided a much more acurate description of the repair. (Pillar is now far stronger than it had been)
b) The support of a section of bridge shifted, forcing all the energy of passing vehicles into the bridge surface itself, shattering it into three pieces. They're currently repairing this project by replacing the shifted support and then infusing the cracked section of bridge, and turning on what's basically a rocket engine underneath it to cure the resin. Pictures to come, along with detail.
c) And finally, they're going to test out an entirely new bridge section by replacing a section of bridge with the experimental design (Complete with mointoring instruments based on fiber optic sensors) Pictures to come.
Note: Bridges undergo some of the most massive forces of any structure built by human beings. Especially modern bridges designed to resist the energys forced into them by the passing of 60,000 pound 18 wheelers traveling at 60+ M/h
even though this is like the third thread on these tubes youve made im quite anxious to see these pictures... =]
glad ta se ya Ish
I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

cool... some badminton racquets have carbon nanotubes in them =). (the one I use does.)
Ummm... you sure?
We're talking Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes here. The single most expensive substance on earth. 1000$ a gram.
Methinks you just have some crappy carbon black someone got out a candle flame.
wait, who is ish again? is he new?
ish is my teacher as far as 'psycho evil crazy people throughout history' goes.
and carbon nanotubes.
hey ish. ya, i don't get banned on site (ya,ok,bad pun).
riiiight. and yeah, raquets dont have "carbon nanotubes" in them. They'd cost about $3,000+... maybe you have carbon in it, but not what ish is talking about.
