Summary: It's a tough world for the 14-year-old Koyuki: nothing interesting seems to happen, everything he does is the same boring thing as always and no one is interested about. What he doesn't know, however, is that this semester is going to be something totally different for him. It all starts with meeting this cool Ryusuke guy with unbeliavable skills with the guitar and his creepy mongrel called Beck that looks like a dog-version of Frankenstein. He gets together with his old childhood friend, this incredibly popular and pretty girl, who even makes him join the swimming team and has the sweetest personality and a taste for harder music that eventually makes Yukio thirsty for rock. Ryusuke has to start a band to compete with his arrogant counterpart Eiji and once Koyuki starts to hang out with him regularly, he gets sucked deep into the world of rock'n'roll: scouting out the best musicians for Ryusuke's new band and getting to know tall about the musical scene, getting his first guitar and mastering the scales (with help from the most unlikely source), building up stamina and courage to challenge the most out-of-this-world dreams he has ever had and to finally get a direction for his future.. and it seems like that direction happens to "rock" quite a lot.

Name: Shounan Junai Gumi
Mangaka: Tohru Fujisawa
Summary Shounan Junai Gumi is a manga about the highschool life of Eikichi Onizuka, and Ryouji Danma. Even though they are the strongest fighters in the area, their only desire is to lose their virginity. However they have problems doing so since most people are scared of them. On their journey to get laid, unexpected, funny situations never fail to occur. This is a great manga for easy laughs, yet it can at times be very powerful, and inspiring. Based on friendship and high school love, it is a very well rounded manga.
Other Junai Gumi is a must read if you liked GTO!! Since this was Fujisawa's debut series, the artwork is a little rougher than in GTO, but it is still drawn in the same style (:D which GTO fans know makes Onizuka's hilarious faces what they are). One of my favorites. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to laugh.......

Mangaka: Kiyohiko Azuma
Genre: Seinen, Comedy, Slice Of Life
Summary: Yotsuba&! is centered on Yotsuba Koiwai, a five-year-old adopted girl who is energetic, cheerful, curious, strange, and quirky—so strange and quirky, in fact, that even her own father calls her a weirdo. She is also initially ignorant about many things a child her age would be expected to know, among them doorbells, escalators, air conditioners, and even playground swings. This naiveté is the premise of humorous stories where she learns about, and frequently misunderstands, everyday things.
The series has no continuing plot—the focus is Yotsuba's daily voyage of discovery. Significantly, many chapters can be identified as taking place on successive days, which reinforces the sense of that we are following the characters' daily lives. The tone can be summarized by the motto, used on chapter title pages and advertising, "Today is always the most enjoyable day"
Name: Gunslinger Girls - ガンスリンガー·ガール
Genre: Action, Drama, Sci-Fi, Little Girls
Completed: No (Vol. 8 released, ongoing)
Summary:Set in present-day Italy, there's a agency known as the Social Welfare Agency; it is completely sponsored by the government and seems like a normal branch of the government. The agency is known to aid people with physical injuries, but in actuality, it is a military organization specialized in counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence. It's divided into two groups, a Public Safety and Special Ops. There are also two sections of the organization. Section 1 is mainly intelligence and personnel and Section 2 is the special operation force, but this is where it gets secretive. Social Welfare Agency is rumored to use little girls as assassins in secret operations, girls that have great strength, reflexes, marksmanship, and immune to pain and bodily damages. Section 2 are compromised of these girls with their own handlers that trains them and cares for them. These girls were saved from the brink of death from their previous tragic past, and were fit with cybernetic limbs and synthetic muscles heightening their strength and other senses. They are also "conditioned" to wipe their past memories clean and to only focus on training. Each handlers, or "Fratello" are paired with one girl that are responsible for their safety and training. Most of the time, they're sent out to take out certain terrorist groups or extremists that are trying to overthrow the Italian Government and Section 2 is the last line of defense to take them out.
There are a handful of girls that are in the program but the main ones are Henrietta who is specialized in using a P90 sub-machine gun, Triela that is specialized in hand-to-hand combat, Rico is specialized in marksmanship, Angelica with her Steyr Aug, and Claes, a test subject after her handler was murdered.
Henrietta is the lone survivor from a brutal attack that left her whole family dead and her critically injured. She has an unconditional love towards her handlers Giuseppe.
Triela is the "big sister" of all the girls in Section 2 and her handler Hillshire seems to get along well with Triela.
Rico suffered from paralysis that affected her whole body, she is the most innocent one and enjoys every single day of her life.
Angelica was one of the first girls that was brought in since the program started. She is also the first one to show permanent symptoms of the conditionings.
Claes is the quiet but most intellectual one of all the girls. After losing her handler, she tends to read books from the library and takes in gardening. She is now a test subject for the agency.
This manga so far is pretty good. It's fast-paced without any nonsense in between. Plus little girls with guns and intense fighting scenes truly makes this one stand out. You guys can get it now at any bookstore near you. ADV Manga has released it up to volume 5 now.
