True and DNA2playboy has a point
I think when you do love someone, you don't really need a reason, I think, love is when he or she becomes a part of you that you wouldn't want to lose,
just like you love your parents or your sister or brother and you don't want to lose them even though they sometimes annoys you or whatever.

    ...

    I wouldn't know.
I doubt I've ever been love.
I /have/ liked certain someones, but love is a strong word.
I've never given up something major for someone- Personally, I think some part of my personality is just too selfish for that.

Well actually in my experience, the girl won't really fall in love, until the guy do something about it.

Sounds like you may have hinted at something yourself.

Why would you say it's an interesting way of looking at it (deleted that part of the quote) I mean if you truly were in love wouldn't you be sad or feel like part of you isn't there if it were gone.

    oh got me there.

I don't think love isn't something that can be achieved in a day or a week. More like something that occurs over months. Exceptions would be having a baby, but then the mother has been caring for it for 9 months, and the dad has been watching it expanding his wife's once snug stomach.

=/ I get in trouble that way, I love my friends, they mean a lot to me, but I love them in a strictly platonic way...

True, I still think there is a difference between loving a family memeber and loving a bf/gf. Family is still what you were born with, and bf/gf/wife/husband is who you chose to be with...

I agree in a way, you might not stop loving them, but you might start to hate them at the same time, or become tired and fight.. you don't stop loving but it becomes less a factor.

As for love, it's hard to tell. I think there's a difference between loving someone and being IN LOVE with someone. it's kinda like I love my siblings/parents/friends, but I'm IN love with my bf/gf.
Love : patience, kind, compassionate, forgiving, selfless, undeniable, strong, did I mention patience? humble, unconditional... and probably more I'll think of later XP oh and it's not about letting them have their way, diciplene is a form of love too, making them the best they can be and bringing them happyness.

EDIT:: wow I'm behind on reading this thread but I have to go, I'll catch up later, =/ sorry forgive me?

Love is a word that means strong affection/attachment. It is not a "sacred" word. Love is just one of the many possible emotions you are feeling. Now, become more intrinsic so you can figure out what your emotions are.

ps. Schijio is a guy, I think. I'm against this gay union.

The girl doesn't fall in love unless a guy does something?
    Explains a lot.
No guy's ever said anything complimentry about me. And that's hardly in the 'do something' category.
