Surely I'm not the only Harry Potter fan here. They've finally announced the release date...good news. I can't wait.

So, thoughts? Predictions?

Dumbledore resurrects and kills Snape.

neville will die a heroes death-while potter says goodbye to his mother,father and godfather one last time.

Please stop with the godawful angsty romance. Those are not only the worst... okay, not worst, but terrible couples, in my opinion, but they come from nowhere and incidentally have to be as bad as the most boring, agonizing shoujo manga.

oh i thought it was about the movie. "movienews" is pretty deceptive. I've seen all the movies but have only read one of the books. Like the 4th or 5th one, cause i got it for free. Never was interested in Harry Potter since 40 year olds and 12 year olds alike read it. But the one that I read was pretty decent, and I plan on reading the rest at some point. Especially since its done at 7 books and not still ongoing at 11 (I'm looking at you Robert Jordan)

Wheel of Time will end at 12 books. And anyway, that series owns Harry Potter. Completely. Especially in characters.

And accuracy - I'm sorry, but saying a basilisk is a snake is just plain stupid.

Maybe Voldemort will repent and turn good. It may be cheesy, but it's better than the other options. Alternately, it could turn into Wheel of Time with Wizards and Harry goes completely mad with power and hears a voice in his head.

Today I was reading the Half-Blood Prince, and got to the part, after they did something with Aragog (cannot think of another way of avoiding possible spoilers), when Hagrid and Professor Slughorn started singing that song about a hero that died at the end. I think that may be a hint of Harry, possibly, dying at the end.

Jordan did years of research for WoT, accuracy isn't even a question. And, yeah, the characters and the world itself is is so much more realistic; there's different cultures and places, which are all depicted consistently, there's realistic depictions of torture and war, and there's lesbians, what's not to like?
