Thread: So... hows the weather?

i usually view talking about the weather as the lowpoint of a conversational skillset but with the psycho stuff going on its worth a topic. Here in NY it was 72F (22.2C) degrees a week ago and now its in the high teens with windchills near -5F (-20.5C). theres snow in Mexico of all places and So. Cal. is covered in sleet and snow. WTF.

any other crazy weather systems where you live?

Its about 37 degree's F here right now, so its cold. For the past few weeks its been in the 60's and 70's, even in the 80's once or twice. Very balmy winter, finally getting cold.

I love the fact that I was in NYC that day. Soooooooo nice. ^_^

It was -8C here as a high a few days ago... don't know what the wind chill is, but having bare legs and not feeling *that* cold, I'm so Canadian. xD

It was -11 F here with the wind chill yesterday. Not fun.

School got canceled today because the roads froze. Lol, it wasn't even really below 0 F, heck I don't even think it was close to 0 F, except I live in Texas, where it's really hot, so yeah that kind of temp is pretty freezing down here. Especially in Houston when its hot one day and cold the next...

Ow. XD Our roads are filled with... slush. That's because we can't keep snow for more than a day or two. Move up here! We're probably warmer than you, and we've got better weather!

Meh, they told us that we would get snow, instead we got frozen roads. The weather in Houston is crazy... Freezing days in June, hot and humid days in December-January. But you get used to it. Besides, last time I checked, Candian currency was worth more then American currency, which will probably make it harder for me to get a place up there with American cash untill I can find myself work.

If you ever come to Houston, remember to pack a jacket, shorts, t-shirt, long sleeved shirt, and just about every type of clothing for every type of weather.

A number of the roads here are frozen, but I still had school, unfortunately.

Yeah you see, Houston rarely has that kind of temperature were the roads freeze. We just get alot of "almost cold enough to freeze the roads, but no not cold enough." so when the roads froze, they just said no school. Think it was also because they didn't want to risk their valuable investment called buses, on the road.

So yeah from what I heard, one reason why they closed down the schools was to take no risks on their buses, since those buses probably cost them a good amount of cash, their not willing to risk the buses, the lives of students on the other hand...

I live in Phoenix, so pardon me while I point at laugh, mockingly, at you.

Don't worry though, you'll get your revenge in July, when I'm dying in 120 degree heat.
