Thread: Who killed me? And other questions.

I'm still new to this section, but I've been mulling over something for a while now. Who killed me, me being Asmodean? & who is masquarading as the M'Hael?
While these questions are of an absolute imperative nature to me, they are not the only questions one may have about fantasy books. So this thread is, infact, geared for questions one may have on different works realated to fantasy, and also welcoming the contributions of those who have no questions but would like to share knowledge with us unenlightened ones.

If a mime's in a forest and a tree falls and kills it does anybody care?

Robert Jordan will probably reveal them whenever he releases book 12 and if not, you should have understood anyway, according to him.

You might want to make it a bit less narrow and at least state the name of the series/franchise you want to talk about.


As for the question, slayer, and no I don't need a reason, because no one is ever right about this. Except for that one guy RJ mentioned.

And for those that don't know, this is about WoT.

Seriously though, the most probably murder is Graendal (read up on some theories), but I just personally like the idea of it being Luc/Isam

It isn't Demandred, and I heard RJ confirmed that. It's more likely that Taim is just plain evil~

I always thought Lanfear was a better candidate besides being dead, but hey... *shrugs* I was wrong before on these things.

I agree it'll probably be Graendal, but... it's just one of those things where I wish it wasn't. Lanfear would be cooler! But then again, it's RJ's style to make it be Graendal... that FAQ was so convincing when it came to a case for Vandene as the killer of her sister and that Black Ajah (forgot her name), and it turned out to be a boring person. >___>

Edit: Oh, and the FAQ disproves the fish bites, I think - it says somewhere in there.

Yeah, I thought it was Vandene too, my biggest complaint isn't with any element of the plot though, it's just that some of the visions/dreams from the earlier books still haven't come about, like Rand wandering as a blind beggar (it would just be weird to have it in the final book, though I guess the blind part doesn't sort of fit now). That and the fact that in KoD he was only in 2 chapters but he got messed up badly, it should have taken longer, that was just too quick. That and the fact that there needs to be more evil people POV, though I guess that would reveal too much of the plot.



I don't think slayer really needs to be that fast though, he does have a lot of specialized weapons, like those daggers of +5 poison (with which he assassinated the wrong people).

Hm, I guess~ But that analysis is terribly persuading.

RJ did say that A Memory of Light would be the *last* book, and as long as it needed to be - so presumably, everything will be revealed (a lot of loose ends have been tied up, after all). I'm betting on... oh, 1500+ pages. =P After all, it isn't going to be released for another TWO years! (And he did say he'd finish it in this book even if it had to be 2000 pages long. Highly probable.)

Still, there will be two more prequel novels so maybe those will help~
