BTW, does anyone remember who it was that said the world will end in 2012?
    Nostradamus as I recall.

    Psssha.

You poor shmucks may still be living here, or on a poorly terraformed mars huddled inside slowly deteriorating domes, but my ass shall be sitting calmly upon a throne of Obsidian in a massive asteroid orbiting Jupiter.

Overseeing the operation of the complete re-construction of Jupiter into my very own Interstellar ship.

The world will end in 2012 according to the maian calendar. Thats all there is to it. Technically it will be another shift in the allignement of the planet which will wipe us all out according to them. But hey why should we bother ? This global warming can just be the natural cycle of the earth just like ice ages there is the opposite, just a cycle. scientist cant formulate anything but hypothesis on global warming... ( P.S regarding the huge amounts of shit we put in our earth i think we should worry more about the alarming rate of cancer and shit which practically everyone suffers from. Look at armstrong he managed 3 in just 1 lifetime or was it 4 ? )

No I don't want to see it end.
but I don't think it will end instantly, it will take time with some awful transitions.

This end of the world shit has been going on for millenia and well i dont think its ever happened but i might be wrong :P The world wont end with asteroids thats for sure and neither with any supranatural. As regards painful decay? its been decaying all along and it will continue to do so until its core shutdown like is normal. we probably wont notice since our bodies will evolve and morph to be able to sustain the changes. It happend with everything and it will continue to happen. I do wish though that the world would crack in two with some massive tides and waterfalls

You disturb me greatly. But I would like to see it end. Not many live to see something like that. Ah, maybe that's just me being weird.
