I read somewhere that gang members are already joining the army. They get trained in military tactics and all. Then they come back to their gangs after their service ends, and teach the rest of the gang members the stuff they learned. Or something like that, I can't really remember.

it's a simple mistake to use an old mailing list.

Heck, I'm still getting mail from a summer camp I went to 7 years ago and they want me to enroll in it for this summer. (Even though, I'm over the age limit by 5 years).

yep, thus it's stupid to enroll these kind of people

and wtf at experimenting drugs on prisoners ??? O.o
would you like being a guinea pig ??
(and don't tell me they are scum, because, well, SOME are, but it is a proven fact that innocent people are sometimes accused for some crimes and sent to jail)

Yep there could be many wrongly convicted prisoners so they should just pick the ones with high profile cases. Damn they already killed Saddam.

Why not test drugs on prisoners? We're already spending thousands per year on each prisoner, and they're worthless to society. Why not use them for something as useful as drug tests? And they are trash, whether you want to admit it or not. Yes, innocents end up in prison occasionally, but I'm certain that the rate of wrongful conviction is dropping due to (relatively) recent forensics advances...and if a few innocents must die for the good of all, I can live with it.

I view this as "the ends justify the means". But then again, I've been told many times that I don't value human life enough.

I think if hippies will try and defend the rights of a pig or monkey they will likely defend the rights of a prisoner as well.

Well, yeah. They're hippies. What else are they going to do?
