The problem is that it's fucking stupid to change the race of an established pop culture icon just because you can. I mean, why? If we get black Bond, what's next? White Shaft?

What, you mean like changing the Green Lantern into a black dude for no apparent reason for that Cartoon Network series, Justice League?...

You remember that too? Though I was the only one. We need some group therapy because of Brimstone.

A long time ago (in a galaxy far far away).......

The random spam thread #4 was probably the most popular thread ever.
This was in the time that many of the older members consider the golden age of ST (long before we migrated to these vBulliten boards, we were still using phpBB2 at the time and we had about a third of the series we do now).
The premise of the RST, was that you could post anything (within the rules, not including spam) and the thread would be deleted once it got to page 100 (AFAIK it was the only RST that ever got to 100 pages, no other spam thread since has made that far). Often free form conversations would develop, each spanning several pages and changing topic several times. It was in the RST that the idea of good and bad spam was born.

Anyway, it was in the RST that it happened, I think the topic may have been either American comics or gays, and then transformed into shock images. What happened was Brimstone posted a Yaoi dojin image (in the style of the kids TV series) of Batman "doing" Robin in the backside. This caused lots of drama in the forum (although Brimstone wasn't banned since he was a respected member and many saw it as funny), from which a (now dead) injoke about bleeding eyes was born.
