Hello, I'm from the philosophical debate board "Life, the Universe and Everything" at GameFAQs.com where we discuss challenging issues, some of which aren't addressed in everyday life.

A question raised recently was regarding male astronauts masturbating in space. These men are up there for 6 months at a time, are there facilities to accomodate this regular bodily function? If so what are they?

In addition, another question raised was about the resultant force of ejaculation. Would the force be enough to propel the astronaut backwards and/or spin him around?

How would the laws of physics affect masturbation in space? Also, is there equipment to clear up the resulting mess?

While they seem personal our board aims to challenge difficult questions and answers to these questions would be much appreciated.

Well, exercise is a daily regimen on the space station, I imagine there is some kind of accommodation for this behavior.

hmmm, i think it varies depending on whether he shoots, squirts, spurts, or drips... the resultant velocities should be quite slow although most definitely noticeable... quite the wonderful form of self-projection
