This thread will now be entering the "there is a cure but the government makes more money not selling it" stage of any thread containing the topic of AID's.

There's a simple solution, but it's so downright repulsive that few if any would even consider it.

At the June 20 hearing, the court's president denied permission for foreign experts to testify.[2] On 28 August, when the prosecution was scheduled to close its case, the Libyan prosecutor called for the five Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor to be sentenced to death. Attorneys from Lawyers Without Borders,[3] who handled the defence of the six, responded by calling for the international community to request that the court order an independent scientific assessment, by international AIDS experts, of how the children became infected.[4] A report had been commissioned, in 2003, carried out by the co-discoverer of AIDS and others for UNESCO, finding that 21 children out of 450 cases were infected at least a year before the Bulgarian nurses arrived in Libya and that the epidemic was caused by "certain incorrect practices used by the medical and nursing staff at that time." A new study published in Nature found that "the strain that had given rise to the outbreaks at Al-Fateh Hospital in Benghazi had been circulating for some time prior to the arrival of the Bulgarian medical staff in 1998,"[5][6][7] (see below)this was reported after the trial had ended but before the verdict was announced.
So basicly... reading this... I take away that your clearing evidence is right there. Maybe not COMPLETELY clearing... but at least it pretty much kills the prosecution's case, especially since it implies that the Doc and Nurses planted the virus. With this, they will have to change their scenario to the virus was present (placing initial blame on the government) and that the doc and nurses then SPREAD it.

So we have this data that comes out right after the end of the last trial... yet in the new trial, it's suddenly not admisable as evidence. So a new study is asked for, and is denied. If Libya is trying to copy our system for this trial, and prove the guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, then it appears their strategy is to not let that shadow enter the courtroom.

Don't forget that SD... beyond a shadow of a doubt.

i would prefer now to wait till more facts of the case start to appear.

meanwhile, i am with all seriousness, very very curious to know about this cure that shinigami wolf seems to know of for AIDS.

do tell. you have my undivided attention.
It ain't pretty,After the show,It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you,
With no place to go,If you think you need it,Here's the place to feed it,But it ain't pretty....
Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you,The odds will betray you,And I will replace you,
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you,It longs to kill you,Are you willing to die?
The coldest blood runs through my veins,You know my name...
Ode to the carnage of one resident modship.......

Aside from the aforementioned mass nerfing of people infected with it, there should be a cure for it soon enough - http://www.economist.com/background/...tory_id=149172 - there are these prostitutes that've developed natural immunity so it shouldn't be too long before the methods are extrapolated and put to use. Though the article does make some good counter points down near the bottom.
