Thread: Snowboarding and Skiing

So its Winter. (and my other thread got locked)
So I was wondering, how many of you here on ST can snowboard, skii, or do both.


discussion:
- about skiing and/or snowboarding
- do you go to any place in particular
- if yes, where? for how long usually?
- family? friends? who's your company.
- anything else related to skiing/snowboarding.

only ski, since i was a wee little lad, been doing it every year about a weeks vacation goes into skiing

I snowboard, I'll go amywhere that has snow but no button lifts or T bars (I hate those).
My favourite festination so dar has been Canada.

only snowboard, never tried ski since some cousin teach me, and they dind't ski, but it seem that is much funnier, at least for me. and you can guess, i go with them for a week every year.

family usually goes for a week long trip in the spring to skii.
(cheaper and better weather :P. snow's still great too)

meh i wanna learn how to snowboard, but since my parents kinda dislike it and since i can ski better than most people i decided to stick with it for the time being (im also too cheap to buy all the stuff for snowboarding XD)

I can do both. I prefer to board, it's more fun IMO.

I usually go with family and friends, or just family and make friends while I'm there.

i learned to ski first, then i learned to snowboard. i ski more but i'm an instructor during the winter so it's expected. i freestyle on my free time, when i'm able.

Like I can afford to do either, you lucky sods. Snowboarding does seem to be the more fun option of the two however.

why can't you afford? if you don't want/can't afford to buy one, you can always rent.
