This video made me remember why i am such a bully in school.
This video was posted before already. It gives reason as to why people don't like American otakus/white people who want to be Japanese and fail at trying.
Until one has given everything, one has given nothing.

It's funny cause the Jap reporters are makin fun of them all the time the the white people are just like "oh look at the kawai maid" and think their clever cause the picked up a little japanese here and there.
That's one of the reasons why I go to anime cons: To point and laugh at such people.
Ironically, my friend just told me I'm a wannabe Japanese person.
(I corrected her: wannabe Asian. Which is fine, 'cause she's Asian so it's more of a joke and all.)
I love how some Americans think being an otaku is a good thing. Makes me want to point and laugh.

It's just so surprising how anime/manga can have such a strong effect on these peoples minds...it like brain washing.
I always wanted to visit Japan...but not for otaku reasons.
More like technology, and the fact that if you study in Japan for a year imployers fight over who gets to hire you...and visa versa for the U.S.
I really want to go to Japan too... for fangirl reasons.
("Hey, can we get the Japan channel for New Year's? I want to watch Kouhaku. Can I see when A-Nation is? Gotta go see that. I want to go to Japan in July, are any of my favourite singers on tour then?")
Hey, it's not otaku. It's respectable.
