I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

My last three English teachers (because I feel the need to "spam"):

Grade 9: Religion teacher. Called everyone "sweetie", "honey", and "sweetie-pie" (was not as bad as friend's grade 10 math teacher, got called "angelcake" by her). Wore stilettos every day. Read Chrysalids (awesome book... that I'd read twice before) and Romeo and Juliet. Got to read 1984 for independent study.

Grade 10: Young, stylish, genuinely funny. Got into a fight with other religion teacher over the fact that they wore the same shirt one day (rumour, but...). Read To Kill a Mockingbird, Midsummer's Night's Dream, and Lord of the Flies. Read Animal Farm for independant study. Best class ever.

Grade 11: Nearly failed. Teacher spent entire summer talking about boring personal life, ex-boyfriend, family, surgery, opinions, etc. Read TKaM... again. Also read Catcher in the Rye (should have read in grade 10) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (awesome book). Watched Othello. Learned Othello was black. Watched American History X. Got scarred for life because of scary themes.

9th grade for me was Catcher in the Rye, Odyssey, A Lesson Before Dying (shit), Betsey Brown (more shit), Bless the Beasts and Children, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

10th grade, so far, we've read A Separate Peace (loved it), King Arthur, the Gospel of Matthew, Macbeth, and Frankenstein. I'm beginning an essay over Frankenstein in class tomorrow. My teacher this year is completely worthless, unfortunately.
