    This guy wants to reinstate the draft, are you kidding me? People are afraid that
    if we leave Iraq now, we will lose face and make matters worse. It will boost Iran's morale and also the extremists also. I mean it's no secret that this war cannot be won, much like how vietnam was, That's how it is when you don't know who's your ennemy. I mean face it we lost Vietnam and we ain't winning Iraq neither.

    Now the Government, wants to send more soldiers over there and this guy thinks that is why the Draft is needed. The thing is he had proposed it before but that was with a republican-led congress but now that the Majority will be Democrats, he plans to propose it again.

    If we get the draft here, Quebec will separate, so I don't think we'll get it here. Come to Canada, draft-dodgers, just like you did in the Vietnam war so we can add yet another true comparison between Iraq and Vietnam to the list!

    You can speak French?!?! OMG you're a rarity among Canadians.

    Well, kind of. A few of us can speak decent, conversational French. Most people just fail the class (or they live in Quebec and don't always speak English - they're cool). Maybe you can go there. They like immigrants more than anywhere else, and the government likes immigrants to go there more than anywhere else.

    Eh, screw it. Just tell us you need to draft-dodge and we'll try to kick Harper out of power (and Ignatieff, if anything happens to him). They can just take your place in the US.
