They eat rice?
I'm pretty sure that most tortoises and turtles mostly eat meat, or specially prepared food pellets that are sold in stores.
I've seen (personally) turtles eat lettuce and tomato, as well as worms, but it's hard to imagine them eating rice, how are they going to get into their mouth?

I have a tortoise as a pet you tool. And to the .. lady I think.. who was going to get one, you should do it ! They're awesome, just don't put it near any otheres of the opposite sex 'cos they get agressive... like in the video. Well thats what they said about russian tortoises like mine anyway, which the one in the video looked to be. But yeah you shouldn't be put off because they're supposed to become really personable... and they own. Mine, for example, is such a voracious bastard he'll even try and eat your finger if you leave it there after giving him lettuce. With a little bit of effort even the most simple minds can think of the numerous possibilities... replacements for guard dogs for one - nobody would ever suspect a tortoise to bite your face off. To get him in the mindset for fucking shit up I gave him Blastoise as his middle name. You know all the other tortoises will ph34r his madd skilz wot.
