Nah. That'd only happen if they built that thing on Mars. We'll probably just reset the entire Universe. Kind of funny if this is what the Big Bang really is and we're just like the n...th instance of the Universe.

Ahh, another Doom fan, excellent. Oh and that idea of yours, (n'th instance of the Universe), was also a concept in a video game. If you've ever played Anachronox, then you know what I'm talking about. (Though, this one was made by ION Storm. It does use the Quake engine though.)

if thats true, then this devise is like univers reseter, it open a worm hole in time causes the big bang effect, and civilisation starts all over agian, there for we just living a cycle, that means the aliens are not aliens at all they just the futur or past of ourselves.

But if the earth did get destroyed, atleast about 1sec before death there must be some suffering. I don't want my computer to become less than ashes just because of these scientists curiousity

i believe your initial statement was already made clear.

your second one sounds pretty outlandish...if another big bang occured we would all be gone. no aliens

well thats nice. I really want my death to happen faster than my brain processing speed. I know theres a lot of stuff faster than that but still... ^^
