Well, the 20 second or so delay before it starts the buring process, coupled with the iTunes-crashes-if-you-click-anywhere-during-that-waiting-time thing, which is gay. At least, iTunes does that to me.

it doesn't do that to me. and it burns pretty fast. 5 minutes on a 22 track cd? yes!

There have been reports of bugs, but I've yet to experience any. Showtime looks nice, all I need is an iPod to go with it.

I got itunes 7 and supposedly it features gapless playback, and iTunes spent about an hour and a half reading all my masic and getting the "gapless playback" info for each song... but uh... i dont hear any difference, and there are still gaps between songs ¬_¬. Do I have to enable it somewhere?

I preffer the gaps between songs, I hate crossfader, I like to listen to my song as the were meant to be, not with some other song overlaping it.

Gapless playback and crossfading are two different things, noob.

Gapless playback are for songs that are MEANT to be played one after the other without any interruption. Get it? One AFTER the other, not OVERLAPPING each other.
If ever you've listened to DJ Tiesto you'd understand what I mean.

iTunes determines what songs are meant to be played one after the other and enables gapless playback for these ones only.
Half an hour? Get a better PC with a couple of Raptors in RAID 0. It scanned all my 170GB of songs in 10 minutes.

cmon you know you hate the gaps.
    2 second overlap is okay.
to be honest the green style from the last iTunes was more stylish than this silver from the 7...

The new 1.2 firmware update for the 5th gen iPod enables gapless playback in the device too. Get one and enjoy your music as it was meant to be.
