Default A view of the jungle and how people are killing it...

    Greetings everyone.
Yup, I havenīt logged in 4 some time already. The matter is I just finished my rural year, and I am gonna publish some pics of the jungle I was last year. And how people are destroying it. Mercilessly.

Quite a view, eh? I took this pic at the top of a hill.

The wood traders, after their cutting-feast, leave the mountain like this...

Like corpses, like down soldiers, hundreds and hundreds of logs are brought to cities by river...

...or when the proper station comes, big trucks travel in and out the jungle taking out the logs. DAY BY DAY.

Logs cut can be transported directly to other cities...

...or be minced by saw to turn them into pieces...

...or simply and sadly, be thrown to river to become part of the soil.

The waste of wood is a major problem. We donīt have a preservation culture. That is pathetic. Shameful. Hateful.

I hope you people can see the pictures and try to make this public. I know this is real off-topic, but it`s our future we`re dealing now.
    Well, this is it.
    Bye for the moment...
PS: I had to cut some of the pics, because of the limit of four...
If you ask me for more, I`ll be glad to send them.
    - Ok, nurse, bring me the patient list for today, please.
    - Hmmm, there are just two patients, Doctor.
    - Good! An easy day!
    - Their name... Hyatt and Otohime Mutsumi.
    - CRAP!! The CPR device and the O2 tanks, QUICK!!!

You go whipe your ass with rocks.

Only thing I see is your finger destroying that second picture.

Sucks to say this, but that's life. it's a little too late for whining now. those logs are the only things that will provide income for some families. kill a few trees for a starving child in a grass hut sounds like a fair deal for me.

and hey, the trees ain't complaining.

You'll regret it later, though, when there's too much CO2 and too little O2 in the atmosphere to breathe. Increasing the amount of CO2 emissions and O2 consumption by burning fuel and increasing population while decreasing the amount of CO2 consumers and O2 recyclers is not the smartest thing to do.

I think his point is not about the use, but about the over-use of wood.

we actually have tree farms throughout the world that can't be touched. with the help of activists, there will be many more in years to come.

even with their help, it is not enough... -_-" (taking some wood is NOT a problem, obviously, but when you cut every trees in an area (and waste a lot) earth will need centuries to make up )

Just so you know, nature isn't the one that is screwed here. We are. No matter how much damage we do to nature, unless we come up with interstellar travel, nature will survive, simply because us humans will die before nature does. Than, nature heals in a few million years, and everything is fine. What you should be worried about, is being fucked, because you won't be able to breath. Now that, is the problem. We don't need to worry about nature, we need to worry about our own future.

of course ^^ (we should not over produce by looking to the short term profit if we want to have a lasting and sustainable development, and thus a future)
