Advancement of what? Weapons, Automobiles, computers? I'm all for the high-tech future we are headed to but at one point or another people are gonna realize that killing nature for the sake of "advancement" isn't worth it. But hey like someone said nature wins at the end anyways.(FF7 comes to mind)

You'd think by now we'd have a law in place or a more efficient way of wood harvesting to avoid problems like these, sadly that is not the case...
