    it's not only tesco, almost every big shops took advantage of the green movement in order to make their bags paying, and in the meantime have good publicity as pro environmental companies -_-" (it's a win-win policy, for them )

    Yep, I'm a tree-hugger. Not only are they beautiful but they're vital too. It's not that I disagree with cutting down trees full-stop. I disagree with this greedy, destructive method so common these days.

    Wow..so sad for the tree's...so many other horrible things happen in the world, but we sympathize with the tree's >_>
    Sure, without the woods the planet eco system is beyond screwed but lets face it, this might be the least of the world problems..with bush in controll that is ^^

    If trees need to be mercilessly cut down for the sake of advancement, let it be so.

    Plants aren't even using their photosynthesis capabilities to their maximum, so if they have to adapt and increase the rate and capacity of this process, they will do so.

    Maybe plants aren't healthy due to pollution. They can't work to their limits and thats a problem. Ruining it will cause it to get worse. Plants give off oxygen and keep our planet cooler, more importantly help transfer energy amongst our ecosystem.

    That's not what I said, you moron.
    If more is required from plants (oxygen production, etc), they will adapt and do more.
    My father has a bloody Ph.D on plant physiology and has been studying plants for the past 40 years and he has even published his works on the matter. Go educate yourself.
