Yeah, that is what it usually means. I would say, in my opinion, ask someone else. Besides, you said this was a friend of yours. Maybe your friend is uncomfortable going with a guy-friend, and is feeling awkward, maybe it is better to ask an acquaintance instead?

yeah Jakko, lol we the guys and gals kinda agreed it was a no, lol. So now most likely i'll go with some random girl, so meh~ we'll see if she kills me after the formal and steals my wallet with the whole $20 in it or not. lol

p.s Talamare, i am not gay >_<! and i do have a few female friends but, they're all friends of that girl i asked lol, and we'll we're not really all that close, just more of a 'i know you' kinda situation.
