    Default Africa-----[Wild Life and Diamonds]

I got a question, how come us who don't even have a wild life(most wild animals are imported) are sending Rhinos to Africa because their own are endangered?? Isn't it stupid of them to allow foreigners who pays to hunt their own wild animal. I've seen documentary on people Hunting Lions and such, they aren't doing it to survive nor to create clothing but only for the Pleasure of a hunt. And I'm not contradicting myself from what i said ealier on the """chinese fur trade"" thread, I think that as long as it is to eat or to survive, it is Ok to eat an Animal. But the African Wildlife is the only one of its Kind, why do they let other people do as they please while they should take care of their own??

Now for the Diamonds or as they call them "Blood Diamonds". how come most of the Diamonds mines are controlled by foreign companies and not the country where the mines are located?? Isn't that stupid of the people to let Foreign People come and take away what could be their ticket to industrialisation. Some groups even wage war with them. Thy also got Children working the mines. And the Diamonds companies keep getting richer and richer of other habitant's misery. They get it way cheaper than what they would sell it for.
The Largest Mining company is owned by De Beers which is composed of Anglo American group(45%), Opphenheim family(40%), Bostawana government(15%). Only 15% for the government and Ironically the Anglo American was founded by sir Opphenheim. so you can say that Opphenheim has 85% control.
    How stupid can you get??

for the hunting, they don't care as soon as the rich white guy pays enough...
and of course they are as happy when they receive rhinos and etc. from occidental zoos for free, so that they can continue charging for new hunts

for the diamonds, it's the same for a lot of other ressources : it's called globalisation, which means powerful companies go there to loot their soils....
but then, why don't they rebel to regain control other their countries ?? because the companies bribe the people in power, who grow rich on the back of their citizens/people .... and also because even if they rebelled, they wouldn't have the technology to make things themselves...

overall, they don't care about the children who work for 2$ a month in the mines, nor about the adults, as soon as they get good dividends from the work of others.
and there are worse than these diamonds mines

its all because of in the past Africa was called a "big slice of cake" for the Europeans to scrabble over, and they just ate the icing and are now feeding on the left overs. Africans without education=no future for them and Africa

well, even africans with education have little hope in most countries there, unless their families are from the good clans or are tied with the governing dictator...

100 000 people dies out of famine every day in Africa! Do you really think that they care about wildlife? They want to survive the next day!

That's easy to say when you're from a big country, but when you live in 3rd world countries, you see that most of the times the "help" you receive from big countries, leaves you with no other option than been controlled.
