the fact that its taking place in china is not the issue... but i have never seen the process until today...im sure it takes place everywhere else in the world but damn... i just imagined someone skinning me while alive man gives me the chills

This is why I don't like America. Americans are too sheltered, so when they see something like this, they get their panties all up in a bunch.

Why do they leave it alive? Also you dont have to be "sheltered" to find this disturbing.

Well, I question the authenticity of the video.

First off, if this was true, why would the perpetrators tape it?

Second, if it wasn't the perpetrators taping it, and an opponent of the fur trade, then the direction is all wrong. There's no way you could sneak a close-up shot and then switch angles and switch views. Most videos of this nature are shaky and of low quality. With good reason too. You don't go up to someone and say: "Hey, Mr. Fur-Trapper man, could you hold still while a get a nice close-up on this raccoon here? Yeah, this angle's great." This tape would most likely have been secretely recorded, the quality and the cuts to the close-ups bely this theory.

So, in conclusion, I'd have to write this off as propaganda fabricated by PETA.

Theres videos of everything, just give someone a camera and they'll record anything and everything.

Do you think the Chinese government or the fur-trappers would LET them tape this?

And as I said before, the direction and steadyness of the camera puts "sneak recording" in serious doubt.
