Ok, I might get banned but I have to get this off my chest (and no, this is not a /r/ thread).

What the hell is up with that shit? I like to check out doujinshi every once in a while because I like to see my favourite characters (who have feelings for each other) hook up if they don't in the series or whatever.

But sometimes I run into a rape thing and it just makes me sick. What kind of fetish is that? Are there really enough people who like rape to power that disgusting corner of the industry? Thoughts?

beside, a character that git raped could be a very different excuse and reasonable things. also, if u don't like it, u don't have to buy it.

Rape has its place in manga. Would you remove all rape from manga? Where would that leave Berserk? Rape for the sake of rape is foolish, but rape for the sake of the story is acceptable.

No I think he meant rape as in Hentai really. Berserk is different. Everyone hates Griffith for that, that's one of his defining moments as a total bad guy. The fact that he'd do that just because he could.

In Hentai, that sort of thing is more about exciting the reader sexually. That can't really be compared to rape as say, a plot device.

But on the topic itself, yes it's a strange crowd to cater to, but it exists and there's little to be done about it. I mean, people who were turned on by rape have existed since the beginning of the human race. Nothing really to say about it except that it exists. :-/

Well... Rape in most manga is very normal for Japanese persons... Coz they like Hentai... And the authors are somewhat Hentai also... They do something ecchi*Perv* in the manga...
