    Default Otakon anyone?

I went this weekend and had a blast, so much so that I decided to register on this oft-visited forum and see if anyone else did too! The masquerade was a little sub-par, or so I heard from con veterans, but I loved it, and the amv contest was pretty damn good too. The dealers room was just superb, never have I seen such a huge collection of anime and manga. Last but certainly not least, artist alley was freaking awesome. I got some truly excellent prints of Ed and Al from FMA, a nice Itachi portrait, and some sick Raito/L stills, all for teh cheap. What did you think/what kind of a time did you have? Oh, and I placed 12th in the Naruto 4 tourney, some bastard with Orochimaru pwned my face in the semi-finals =/.

Wait where does Otakon take place? I've heard of it before but, I'm guessing it'd be out of state for me.
Dear cousin choppitychop89, you were a good relative, though I hardly knew ye.

Ahh Pennsylvania, I guess that'd definitely make it out of state for me. I can't really attend out of state conventions yet, sadly. Thanks for the link Jyuu.

Strange bit of information I picked up on the wiki; apparently buying a ticket makes you a member of the Otakorp organization.

It's actually in Baltimore, MD, at the Baltmore Convention Center right next to Camden Yards. And yea, I am now a proud member of Otakorpl lol. I highly recommend attending it in the future if you can, I was a little iffy about it myself but it turned out to be hugely worth the 60 dollar entrance fee and the gas money, very very much so in fact.

I used to live in Pennsylvania...no longer, though. I won't be there.
