You don't inherit it genetically, no. Like if your dad is gay, that doesn't mean uh... I don't know exactly how that would turn out, but you wouldn't necessarily be gay. But living with gay people won't make you gay either. It's most likely a hormonal imbalance that causes homosexuality in males and females.

So I would have to say that it isn't natural to be gay, because there is no evolutionary reason for the gay "trait" to appear in a species (especially since propagation of genetic material is incompatible with being gay). But they are still normal people in the sense that they are humans and have rights as such.

And what does black people have to do with gay people? Are you comparing races with mental disorders?

Nope. If you are male and you find a female attractive, that is your perception as being a heterosexual. If you are male and you find a male attractive, it is your perception as a homosexual. Women with men, women with women, ect. Its slightly more than just a preference. Although people with the preference of men do exist, as I have met one person of that belief structure. All the rest are under the mental state of "I just find men/women more attractive than people of my opposite sex".

And that is your major malfunction. You percieve being gay as a "mental disorder" when, under complete and utter definition, it is part of the human condition. So there you go, you are wrong.

Also, to all those who are saying that gay couples shouldn't have children...well, you have already been proven wrong by countless psychological studies and the fact that gay couples have successfully adopted/concieved (through sperm donation, surrogate mother, ect.) children. Someone with gay parents is no more likely to be gay themselves than someone raised by hetero parents, and if you ask any Psychologist or Psychiatrist they will tell you the same thing I told you.

hmm i don't oppose gay marriage, in fact i hav great respect for these people coz they have expressed their true self to the world and not cover up for who they really are. They are strong individuals that earns everyone's respect.

Sometimes. Sometimes kids try to be rebellious by saying that they are gay, but there are times when it is genetic. To break the genetics down simply, it was found by a researcher, (gay scientist interested in why he was gay, followed by research by others), that most gay guys have the same hormones as women do. These hormones cause people to have femine traits, including being gay. In many cases, even if these guys tried to be straight, they aren't capable of being excited by women. Oh, and it was found that once a guy reaches old age, this has a likely chance of happening.

No, I'm saying that being gay is a mental disorder. Even if that's highly debatable.

No, it's not part of the human condition, maybe bisexuality up to some degree, but not homosexuality.

they can form a union but the idea of marriage makes me uncomfortable(because of the religion factor maybe).About raising children issue,i am against it because of the role-model thing.
