Thread: Gay Marriage

Why shouldn't they have kids? One of my friends was riase by his mom who was a lesbian. He's a great person and is one of the most interesting people I know. I don't see anything wrong with gay marriage.

actually its said that people can turn gay by genetics or enviroment although i'm not sure if this is true. but about the gay marriage i really don't care. hell i wouldn't care if polygamy is legal just as long as they're not bothering me.

I take marriage as a union under civil or religious principles, and nothing more. Marriage (basing ourselves in monogamy) involves a two parterns, children is part of a family and can be the offspring of the marriage (said "can" because children can be adopted too, or came from another sexual relationship previous to the marriage), so children are not part of the marriage, just a possible effect, but we're not disscussing this anyways.

I don't think gay marriage is wrong, but that doesn't mean that I think that being gay is normal or correct, still that doesn't means I'm against that people. So, if being gay is not normal (this is the way I think, and I won't change it), and gay people are to raise a kid or kids, these kids will grow under this "not usual" type of life, and might see it as if that was correct (since children most of the times follow their parents example), when it isn't.

There are two genders for some purpose, and that's how things should be. Kids should be raised by heterosexual couples only (wich should have correct standards of life, unlike others in wich childrens are abused, or parents are always fighting and other stuff).

I am completely in favor of gay marriage. I also feel that homosexuals have the right to raise children. Anything less would be bigotry. You don't say, "I don't think blacks should be allowed to marry", now do you?

anywho, the whole genetics crap is bs, you cant honestly expect anyone to have a genetic trait that says for u to enjoy being ass ******.

while i do think what you are surrounded and the experiences you have in life will determan that.
