Thread: Do you think that the UN is just a piece of useless Sh-t?

For me it's like a junk...
Yeah I know that the US is superpowerful, but being UN, I mean yeah, a huge international organization, it can do nothing to stop the US from whatever crap they are doing to the poor people and countries.
This world is just so f_cked up...
I don't know what do you guys think?

I think that the UN is not only useless but worse than useless.They often make matters worse in most of the countries it "helps".
Also, the UN derives 90% of its funding from the U.S.,of course they can't do anything America would pull their

i personally dont think its right to rip the UN for not stopping the US from going into war

the UN probably does alot of good things, but we just dont see it since it doesnt affect us

well exactly! Taking too much money from the US needs to be paid back somehow, and the solusion for that is listen to the US for whatever it does

On topic.I believe that the UN shoudn't exist.The existence of a governing body that large vastly increases the possibility for tyranny.

if the US were to say we need more land and power were conquering canada, the UN is there to stop it

the UN didnt stop the war on iraq because of a miswritten policy, it said if iraq doesnt show 100% proof of no nuke weapons then it will be met with severe consequence

US agreed that severe consequences = war
and it wasnt just US that agreed, 50 other seats agreed also, 1/4 of the UN

but with that damn veto power they are simply near the edge of useless

i agree and beaucrats are assholes that confuse everything

but the UN isnt just about what happened in Iraq

UN also help poor countries to be fed and clothed, (with help by other parties such as red cross) and attempt to regulate power so that no country becomes too ungodly strong (notice i said attempt)

Are we talking about the same group that put China and other countries that threat their people like crap, on the Human Rights Comity? If that’s the case not only are they useless they are idiots as well.
