Thread: aggressive ads...

geez... I know that they are there to provide revenue for the site... but some of the pop ups are friggin' aggressive... opening up multiple pop unders to bypass pop up blockers and basically never lettting you see the page you want.

Do you have a point? And are you talking about this site? Or just sites in general?
You realize that there's not much you can do about this, right?

Get Firefox.

Just use the X button to click them off good sir.

It's the internet. They're advertisements. Get used to it.

clicking X doesn't work too well if you get a system docter pop up. sometimes it will close the other explorer windows as well.

all the same just put up with them. otherwise there would need to be more donations.

Some of those popups will install spyware or viruses in your computer.

Then install some anti-spyware programs. Or better yet, don't use the Internet.

All you do is right click the pop-under on your grey bar under the window you are looking at and select close. Imagine, closing pop-ups without spyware.... Feel the wonder......

It is a fact of life that your computer has been infected with an unstoppable virus. Formatting your harddrive is the only way to stop it from spreading into the real world.
