    Default Beauty of silence

ever noticed how silence can somtimes mean the most profound things in the world? that it can mean hurt, of anger or sadness or unspeakable joy. Silence can be serene and calm, icy-glass or it can be troubled, marked with tension. I'sn't it beautiful too? to just sit and listen to the silence and your own mind?

but my point her eis this: is ther esomething that you find particularily beautiful? like lightening or a cat's purr? not girls or boys please guys.. this is actually decently serious.

    anyhow
    thanks

Nice. Yeah, silence can be pretty cool.

As for me, there are a few things, I guess, but one thing I really like is going to some remote place and just enjoying the scenery. On a hill, in a forest, or in the plains, or at the beach, or whatever. Just looking at nice scenery with no extra industrial noise or anything can be really beautiful and serene.

Luckily, I live in New Zealand, and that sort of scenery is all around me! And a wide variety of it too. We're lucky like that I've been taking some pictures lately to show the kids in Japan what NZ is like, and realising even more how beautiful it is here.

i rather like laying on the bed looking at the ceiling while its pouring rain.

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.

Looking up at the sky at night staring at the clouds that move by when the sound of breeze can be heard far away is a hobby I like. Sometimes ambulances can be heard too

Listening to the rain on a day I'm alone in the house, it's so calm and really makes me sleepy.

Another thing I've found myself doing recently is going to the nearby lake and just lie down on the grass, listening to the wind touching the leaves in the trees. I do this when I have a lot on my mind.

    So yeah, silence is beautiful.

But the sad part, I have yet to experience the sad part about silence.

edit: Forgot about my favourite sound ever! I really enjoy hearing my brother play soft, slow songs on his guitar, makes me relax. But it might just be because he's been doing it for as long as I can remember. ^^

Silence for me usually means I'm trying to think up an appropriate response. I guess.

Silence on a date very bad, unless you are a old couple.

I could definitely go for some rain right now... But technically, it's not silence. Are we talking absolute vacuum of space silence, or the no one is talking silence? I think the former would be a bit creepy...

    Silence? What is that?

You don't get silence where I live. Cars are driving around at 4 in the morning. The only time you ever get "silence" is when you go up a damn mountain and just stand there and get bored for a bit then go back down.
