Spam? For me, it's anything that's posted simply for the sake of posting. Basically, if it doesn't add to the conversation at hand, don't post it.
I also dislike it when people point out the painfully obvious, such as stating some fact that everyone else participating in the thread is clearly already aware of like it's some sort of brilliant deduction. I tend to think that the people who do this simply haven't bothered to read the entire thread before posting in it, though, which I kind of...disapprove of.
Stupid ideas don't bother me too much (I'm sure I have plenty), as long as it's not something totally unreasonable that the person then defends to the death. (Witness exmasamune's fake spoiler disaster in the Naruto section. Or pretty much any theory put forth in there that has nothing backing it up whatsoever.)
I AM bothered by theories that have been proven wrong multiple times but are repeatedly brought up again, and repeat thread topics. (I think the Naruto section has at least four to six threads discussing your favourite character, and maybe two or three devoted to the same character (Rock Lee, for those of you who go there) alone. I even made a gag thread about the hottest Akatsuki member (with Cold-NiTe's consent!), but then people took it seriously and I lost the heart to mock anyone...)
And, on an elitist note, posts that are totally impossible to understand (due to grammar or "chatspeak") are also spam in my books. I try to be as understanding of people whose first language is not English as I can, but this is an ENGLISH website. If I can make it out, it's fine, but otherwise...I'm just annoyed. (Sorry. This isn't meant to offend anyone.)

I'll sum it up for you. For me, spam includes:
1. Posts that don't add to the conversation
2. Posts that point out obvious things
3. Posts that repeat things that have already been said
4. Posts that are written in not-English
Better? Or are you not going to read anything over ten words? Oh, and add double posts when the first one isn't long enough to hit the character limit to that list.

Spam is a large category and actually includes what Flash is saying now. Also, "u are teh n00b" posts are included. And "i liek tazmo" or "tazmo suks bals" or... you get the point.
Oh, and "I want [insert stupid unnecessary forum addition that has already been requested a million times before if one would only SEARCH]" counts too.
