May? They should. It's rather easy to plant some in there. That way, they can justify stuff.

at worst they should bury some and come back some months later reveling to the world that saddam hid WMDs in the desert !
seriously though, it's very possible to hide weapons in the ground... BUT the facilities needed to make these weapons are not hideable -_-
so we can assume the chances to find WMDs are near 0

Far out, there was alot said.
Can't remember most of what I was going to say, but basically, I remember noticing that at least Saizou and shautieh got the point.
I still reckon the US fit the term of 'insurgents' more aptly than the rebels. There was a perfectly established (not necessarily moral) government, and the US 'surged' in and fucked it up. And have not yet succeeded in really setting up their own, yet they are still being attacked by the rebels. You can't just charge into a country and kill everyone and declare yourself King, and expect that to be called a legitimate government.
And that Germany/Nazi/WWII analogy was flawed. You made it sound like the government set up post-WWII (which the Nazis would have attacked) would have been legitimately set up, and relatively stable. That's not the case here.
Also, sorry if you mistook what I said earlier. I didn't mean you personally knew there were weapons in Iraq, I meant you as a country did.
(And as a footnote, I loved learning about the 6 Day War. Isreal kicked ass there. I loved them for it )

I just got a newfound respect for Sherman.

He's easily one of the best posters here.

Have you guys seen the "Promises" movie made about Palestinian and Israeli kids? It brings up and very thought provoking point in that, change and acceptance should start with the children.
