Question Do you think some people need to be hurt in order to be disciplined?

some people think that it's a bad idea to hurt someone... ever

this is a lie. there are many people that just need to be hurt to learn.

i'm not saying always hit someone when they do something bad, but there are cases when i belive pain is a way better lesson than just being grounded.

Well of course, specially in the military,If they disobey you in peacetime and you dont get it through their thick skulls that they shouldnt, think of what could most possibly happen out on the frontlines, disobeying an order out on the frontlines can mean death, thats why we have drill sargents,to ensure that useless lives are not lost b/c of lack discipline and that they are instead lost b/c of stupid politicians who butt in the way.

Until one has given everything, one has given nothing.

well it depends on the situation. sometimes a good verbal beating will work. My bros ues to kick my ass if i messed with them, but that was when i was 9 now im 17, and i still mess with them but the really dont kick my ass cause im use to the pain and i laugh at them. but yes pain helps get the point across.
in the military if u disobey orders u get a good verbal beating

    Time-outs are stupid.

If you want a child to learn anything, you gotta spank him/her.

Actually, spanking isn't too effective in the long run.
The kid will just take the spanking and continue on doing whatever it is that's wrong.
