Yeah, everyone should know this by now. You brought nothing new to the table.

Like AK said, this should be common knowledge.
This is how I used to do it (one guy even made his own proxy site, under the guise that it was to access legit content that was blocked by the school), until they found out and did something to block all proxy sites.
Then we found out how to cheat the thin client computers into conecting to the network while bypassing the firewall, this also gave us access to the an extra shared drive on the server, so instead of having 200mb of space, we had nearly 40gigs.
Another great thing to do is to steal the software on the network, before I had to format my laptop, I had Microsoft office, visual studio and encarta 2000 all registered to Monmouth School.
My crowning achievement though, has to be tricking one of the technicians into writting over 2gigs of porn that I had downloaded using school computers, onto CDs that were paid for by the school. If only you could have seen his face when I told him on my last day of school.
lol. We don't have computers. The teachers do. hence no bother with this kinda thing.
I love Steal! <3

We're not allowed to download Firefox.
Actually, my school blocks anything "fun", like games sites and whatnot. Really. All because the kids in the computer classes played games when the teacher wasn't around.
Mostly I don't care; they haven't blocked any of the sites I go on. =P Which... aren't many.

This might come in handy, when summer is over XD
Remote connection FTW!
You could try just using google translate. If you set it to translate an English site to English from german, the non-translatable words(all of 'em) will turn out English.
