hrm... I feel like the SAT is more of a background knowledge test rather than an aptitude test. Yes, non-internet IQ tests are much more developed and much more accurate, but are not the be-all end-all.

Also, the ACT is easier than the SAT, no matter what anyone says.

Fair enough, I studied, what, 3hours totally over 6 months? I did pretty well too, better than my mom and dad (who in my opinion are brillant, my dad's a PhD...) But that could be because I did okay in both areas instead of just one ><)

ACT was easy, I agree. Especially the science part.

I've never taken a real IQ test, Jakko. If they're not simply question and answer like the online ones, then I might need to rethink them a little. I still adhere to the belief that people can excell in areas not normally associated with intelligence, though. I have a friend in real life who received horrible marks in school, but her social skills are through the roof.

Oh, and I think multiple choice is a horrible way to determine knowledge of any subject.

If you break 1450, it doesnt matter beyond that point.

I took the SAT once, and didnt study. Again, I dont think I'm going to divulge my score here. If you really care and I know who you are, you can PM me and I'll tell you my test scores...

One clarification. I think I am correct in saying you mean 1450, after the new section was added. Yes?

I love Multiple choice, because then you can make logical assumptions. You don't have to worry about how the knowlegde is presented (can you tell I am NOT a humanities/language student?). You can simply answer the question. Especially math, math MC really tests your knowledge of proper application, though if you make little mistakes (ie. writting 1 instead of 7) then it doesn't bode so well. Besides, it's more clean cut (mostly, minus english exams ><) and you get your test results back faster ^^.

no, I mean before the new section was added. As in, out of 1600.

I was kinda close, but I didn't manage to break 1450. Kinda sucks really, but that's what I get for not studying the math sections to make up for my constant failure to do assigned homework. Without that sort of practice to cement the knowledge, there was no way I'd be able to answer every question while taking the extra time I needed on each one.

In the end the same thing happened to me as with the AP Computer Science AB exam; I had to teach myself some of the material during the test. And god knows there's no time to do that properly.
Dear cousin choppitychop89, you were a good relative, though I hardly knew ye.
