Colonizing the moon? I wouldn't be surprise if people are studying how to do it. I did a friggin research paper on how to create an outer space settlement. =_;;;;

While all progress is good progress I find that I ask myself why we'd want to do this. Seriously, the moon is a lifeless, barren ball of rock and dust. Is there any benefit whatsoever in building a lunar base besides proving a point?
