well no matter what on the shinigami uniform he had on when vsing the modified test arrancar of aizens he is wearing a captains symbol/trademark on his uniform. from memory someone else noticed this as well but explained it somewhere else.

how come you guys don't ask how the hell did Isshin create that charm that could repel that big of a hollow? that is not kido.

First and foremost, being powerful and loving to fight are two diffferent things, so you can't automatically toss him into the eleventh division, but being a doctor in the 'real' world doesn't make him from the fourth, though it is a strong hint, if simply through the healing factor. Also, the fact that he doesn't "look like a fourth division guy" means absolutely squat, because I STILL don't think Yumichika "looks like an eleventh division guy."
