Thread: Ichigo and Co VS Remaining SS Captains

The following captains have yet to show their bankai in combat:

Yamamoto
Soi Fong
Gin
Unohana
Aizen
Shunsui Kyouraku
Kenpachi
Ukitake

The following captains are eligible for an easy to work in power upgrade to their known skills:

Gin (Hougyoku transformation)
Aizen (Hougyoku transformation)
Tousen (Hougyoku transformation)
Hitsugaya (Bankai "maturing" fully)
Kenpachi (Achieving Shikai/Bankai)

Considering that we have two enemy characters (Gin, Aizen) who will almost certainly be exponentially upgrading a still unknown basic power level, I think Ichigo still has a few challenges to beat.

Also, if Kubo is going to actually work in every captain's bankai, we are going to have a hellishly long manga. Unless he just does several months of Captain vs. Espada fights simply to get them out of the way.

ichigo only started losing in the end because as his hollow stated, he wore down his muscles from moving around too much. I mean, think of how much u have to move to block 10 billion petals of metal flying right at you from all sides. If he just finished bakyuga off in the beginning, it would be no contest. also, i think all of u guys are forgetting that the ichigo ur using to compare was the one in the SS arc. now that he has control over his hollow, and after a bit of training w/ his vaizard buddies, his strength will increase at least twofold or more.

Has his Hollow really been controlled?? In the latest chapter, i read, he was battling his hollow, nothing really happened.

His hollow has been beaten down once more. We don't know how well he can use its powers, but he has defeated it. Read 221.

It's a bit mean on Ichigo....but i guess it's true, none of the captains, have revealed their true potential yet.........but

Mangas always seem to do things, like make you think they're at their limit, then suddenly a line like 'when are they gonna send the signal' or someting to that extent pops up out of nowhere! It's like, the manga will make sure that there will be no limit to their power, something will always happen which will makes them suddenly gain heaps of it, then they defeat the enemy and they lived happily ever after.............THE END sort of thing...

dont turn this into a fanboy/girl thread for your favorite captians, i tried to make a serious discussion dont fuck it up with wild dreams of what you wish would happen =_=

To think that Ichigo is stronger than Komamura and Tousen just because they were beaten by Kenpachi, who was defeated by Ichigo, is wrong logic. Kenpachi didn't actually win against Komamura, but it would most likely happen since Komamura's bankai is purely physically fighting base, and we all know kenpachi rules for all out fighting alone.
Can any of you actually imagine Ichigo allowing himself to be stabbed by Tousen so that he could beat him.
Zaraki only won because of his many years of fighting experience and his instincts as well as his willingness to get stabbed.

Nah Ichigo lost speed and slowed down because he got crushed under his own BanKai's reiatsu. He basically beat himself up.

Ichigo would be able to beat Tousen, bankai vs. bankai, even if he were blind. How? Simple. He runs full tilt while maniacly slashing until he hits him. He can slash fast enough to knock down thousands if not millions of blades, he can certainly slash fast enough to block any sword cuts. (Ironically, the 3rd seat officer who tried to use the same technique against Chad got beaten in one hit. ...Apparently it's not stupid if Ichigo does it.)

You may be right, but Ichigo lacks the prescence of mind to do such a thing. He'd be completely unnerved and disoriented if he got caught in Tousen's bankai. By the time he actually thought of continuously slashing, Tousen could have killed him. Remember this is Tousen's playground, his rules. Kenpachi had his finely honed battle instincts, what does Ichigo have?
