Well if a zanpakutou is part of (merged with) his own soul, its perfectly believeable that there'd be a zanpakutou that can interfere and become part of someone else's soul.

Completely unrelated, I don't even know where it would fit *spoilers* because Rukia's living in Ichigo's closet and its after the SS arc.

The OVA's not that outstanding, the quality doesn't match up to actual storyline. However, the REAL show begins during the credits, when we get to see the captains and subcaptains (along with Ikkaku, Yumichika, Hanataro and Ganju) in the normal clothes, all outfits that pretty well suit them and reflect their personality. Although I do have to say, Byakuya did go a little over the top with the horse drawn carriage, top hat and cane...

The credits were lov-freaking-vely. BEST part of the story, though I wanted Kenpachi to AT LEAST fight the crap out with Baizin. And they made Hitsugaya look isaweak. I actually laughed out loud when Shunsui Kyōraku
and Jūshirō Ukitake were goin' clubbin'.

i guess there is a more complete merge, instead of being part of his soul it becomes his soul, i also like the credits, and the goodbye from aizen and ichimaru gin. icing on the cake

i think there's something swrong... there's one scene where the shinigamis are fighting the hollows...and hanatarou/rukia were leading the panicking people away...but they are in shinigami form...how the hell does the people see them??

and to think in the past it took the sacrifice of 2 captains to just seal the enemy..."-_-
